The Avati Salon is an upscale salon located in a neighborhood in San Diego, California bordered by University City to the North, Clairemont to the East, La Jolla and Pacific Beach to the West, and Bay Park to the South, and the Morena Blvd. CostCo just down the street. We believe it is much needed in this particular area.

Avati is independently owned and operated by Denise Mayer, a Master Hair Color Specialist and stylist. Denise has over 38 years experience in the salon business and salon ownership. She is joined by friends, all professionals, and all with years of experience.

We have some of the most creative hair stylists. We cater to women, men and children. We will strive to provide the best services, a quality product offering, and an enjoyable, comfortable and relaxed environment for your visits. We are in a center with restaurants, opened for lunch, dinner and weekend breakfast, a liquor store, dry cleaner, creative dance studio, a drive through coffee stand and a Dentist office is moving into the center. Recently the Oasis cafe opened in the center which offers a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a Huka lounge.

There will be pleasant music to listen to, a comfortable waiting area, magazines to read, a drink bar with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bottled water and FREE WIFI for our clients. Come for a visit, ask questions, meet the people who work here, make an appointment. We look forward to seeing you. The goal of the salon is to service the clients' needs cheerfully, professionally and to make their visit memorable.. Walk-ins are always welcome.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary

Saturday 2/16/13 , everyone at Avati, and customers, celebrated the 1st Anniversary of the salon being opened. We brought in sandwiches, fruit, a vegetable dip tray and drinks for everyone to enjoy. From left to right we have Kim, Kiyoko, Denise, Bruce, Colleen, Samantha and Bre.

With the expansion of the salon we will be needing more hair stylists, a massage technician, and nail technicians that do acrylics and gels, as well as manicures and pedicures. Today 2/8/13 the staff decided to throw a little early birthday celebration for Denise with fish tacos, fresh fruit, chips and guacamole, drinks, cake, flowers and a Happy Birthday Balloon.

Phase II - May 16, 2013 - Well, after deciding to go the route of plans and permits and waiting for inspections to be completed, we are back on track shooting for a June 1st opening of Phase II. We are adding a Massage Therapist and soon, more hair and nail technicians.

2/16/2013 - Well, we celebrated our 1st year anniversary for the salon, we opened Valentine's Day 2012, and now we are working on opening the expansion of the salon, Phase II. Shooting for March 1st.

Today, January 27, 2013 we attended the ISSE at the Long Beach Convention Center. Read below.

Phase II - Avati Salon is expanding. We have taken the adjoining suite and we start construction February 1, 2013. Currently our salon is 700 Sq. Ft. and after our expansion we will be at 1600 Sq. Ft.

We are adding more hair technicians, a complete nail care portion to the salon including manicures, pedicures, acrylics and gels. We are adding a massage therapist with an in house shower, and more.

In the interest of keeping up with the latest products, styles, and equipment in the salon industry, Denise, Samantha, Bre and Colleen went to the ISSE show in Long Beach. They had a great time, saw demonstrations, were introduced to new products and equipment, and even bought a few things to bring home. Click on the picture to see our pictures.

We celebrated the Holidays with our first annual dinner at PF Changs, La Jolla, Saturday night. A fun and filling time was had by all. Click on the picture to see our pictures.

Everyone at Avati participated in the display booth we had set up at the Family Day Fair in Clairemont on August 4th. They did demos, showed off product, discussed services, and we had a raffle for product and free services.
